Hello! My name is Gisela Towner. I'm an artist in the Tremont area of Cleveland. I've been painting for over 30 years and currently work mainly in pastels and watercolors.
	Artist's Statement:
	I paint in watercolors, pastels, oils and acrylics. I do paintings of people, landscapes, city scenes and wildlife. I also have an ongoing series of India ink portraits and landscapes. These ink paintings are based on friends, blues musicians and the city of New Orleans, which I fell in love with. Most of my current work is urban landscapes and I'm now busy with Great Lakes themes. My husband and I traveled up the coast of Lake Michigan last year, from Holland to Mackinaw City, on bicycles.  Lots of new material there -- beautiful coast, lake and lighthouses -- paintings and prints coming soon! You'll see when viewing my work that I'm not one to stick with a single medium or type of subject matter. I'm always searching for fresh new way to express myself. I've found that learning is a lifelong process and the joy of learning is always there for the taking. I've studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art and have also taken workshops with many other fine artists. I thank them all for the knowledge that they have shared with me. With that said, I'd like to welcome you to my website. I hope that you enjoy my offerings.
